Welcome - I’m glad you’re here …

I’m Alice — a Perth-based birth doula, holistic nanny, and forever student of the body, birth, and womanhood

With 10 years of experience supporting families and children, I feel like I naturally found my way to this work.

I am deeply grateful to have been initiated into this path during this maiden season of my life. I walk alongside women during one of the most transformative transitions there is, and I believe in women, in their bodies, and in the wisdom of nature

My story

What You Might Be Looking For..

If you're reading this, you might be:

  • Wanting a birth experience that feels informed, supported, and grounded

  • Feeling nervous about postpartum recovery or unsure what to expect

  • Craving gentle, ongoing care once the baby arrives

  • Looking for a nanny who truly gets the emotional needs of a family, not just the schedule

  • Ready to feel seen, not just helped

You don’t have to do this alone—and you don’t have to figure it all out yourself.

I bring presence, practical help, and gentle care into your space—so you can feel safe, soft, and supported.

Let’s connect and see if we’re the right fit.

WORK WITH ME

The meaning of this work to me

The word doula comes from the Greek word meaning “female slave” — a confronting origin, but one that speaks to the depth of service and devotion this role has always held.

While I don’t see myself as a slave, I do honour the history: a time when birth was communal, supported, and sacred. Women were surrounded by other women who held wisdom, love, and a steady presence.

I believe we’re being called back to that — to a world where birth isn’t feared, but witnessed and honoured, and where mothers are held by a village.

Emotional safety is just as vital as physical safety. Your birth experience matters — not just in how your baby is born, but in how you feel throughout the process. I trust deeply in a mother’s intuition, and I’m simply here to remind you of your own knowing.

The Heart Behind My Work

Something my first teacher once said has always stayed with me: “All you need to be a good doula is your heart and your hands.” I believe this wholeheartedly.

When it comes to choosing a doula, it often comes down to how someone makes you feel — their presence, energy, and the sense of safety they bring. You could have two doulas with the same training, but it’s who they are as a person that matters most.

In this way, who I am comes first; my knowledge is simply the structure I build upon. Still, I’m deeply committed to learning and expanding my understanding, so I can continue to show up with both skill and heart.

Whether you’re preparing to welcome your first baby, planning a VBAC, navigating a birth with older children in the mix, or just craving more support postpartum—I’m here to offer grounded care and steady presence.

How I Show Up

When you invite me into your space, I come with a calm, steady energy. No judgement. No pressure.

Just a deep respect for what you’re going through and a quiet confidence that you can do this—with the right support around you.

I’m there when:

  • You're working through birth plans and decisions

  • Your contractions start and the world gets quiet

  • You need someone to hold the baby while you sleep, shower, cry, or exhale

  • You don’t want visitors, but you do want someone to care for you

  • Your toddler needs someone safe and warm while you give birth

  • You’re feeling touched out, tired, or just unsure what’s next

  • You want to process and integrate your birth story — or simply celebrate it with someone who gets it

I meet you in the raw, real moments with practical support, emotional steadiness, and a whole lot of care.
